Questions
Answers before you book
What is a notarial protest?
A formal notarial act certifying that a negotiable instrument — a cheque, promissory note or bill of exchange — was presented for payment and dishonored. The protest certificate is the documentary evidence of that presentment and refusal.
When would I need one?
In commercial and financial contexts where a party has to evidence that an instrument was presented and dishonored. If you're not sure whether your matter requires a formal protest, ask us first — we'll tell you if it doesn't.
Can a protest be done remotely?
Yes. Performed remotely and electronically in compliance with New York RON regulations, it is treated as an electronic notarial act and charged at the standard $25 RON rate rather than the in-person protest fee.
What is a fact-finding statement?
A notary's written record of what was observed and verified, used in legal proceedings, investigations and official documentation. It records observations — it is not legal advice and not an opinion on the merits of the matter.
Do you take on bulk or ongoing work?
Yes. Corporate, financial-institution and high-volume work is quoted on volume, frequency and turnaround, with dedicated handling. Ask for a tailored arrangement.
Need a protest or a structured finding?
Tell us the matter and we'll confirm what's required before anything is charged.
